Having the correct paperwork with you when selling your car can help you get a better price and make the process much quicker. When selling your car to us at Complete Car Buyers, once we've come to a unanimous decision on a price, we then handle all of the paperwork so you can sit back and relax while searching for your next car.

When you sell your car, you legally have to inform the DVLA you've done so. When selling privately, you usually have to do this yourself on the GOV.UK website or by giving the green ""new keeper' slip from your vehicle's V5C to the new buyer. However, with Complete Car Buyers, we take care of this for you.

After the DVLA receives notification of the ownership change from us, they should send you a letter within a month confirming that you are no longer responsible for the vehicle. You'll also get any remaining road tax refunded to you.

If for whatever reason you don't have a V5C document, you can request a new one from the DVLA website.
